Kattuna is an artisan fashion brand based in Colombia fueled by the diversity and rich history within our borders

Our goal is to help local producers preserve and revive the artisanal tradition, and provide luxury pieces and accessories made 100% by the hands of craftswomen from different regions of the country. By creating opportunities for those women, we are strengthening female empowerment in areas nationwide, and increasing local economic and social development. We have high standards and always stride for the best quality we can provide. Progress

With every product we stride to fulfill Kattuna’s Three E’s: Efficiency, Environment and Economy. Economy- By increasing the employment of women in rural areas, we have generated sustainable income and economic growth to help close wage gaps in otherwise male-dominated territories. Environment- Rejecting the use of industrial methods of extraction, we embrace eco-friendly and sustainable production that is driven towards reforestation rather than destroying the environment. Efficiency- We work hand in hand with the artisans by providing the latest tools and materials in order to modernize their ancient manufacturing process, while still staying true to the art, so they can work more comfortably to deliver the highest quality of products in the most efficient way possible.

Art

The techniques of the art of weaving have been transmitted down generations for more than 100 years among the women of the area.

Local production: Local farmers cultivate the Iraca palm in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner, and have more than 220 acres planted social responsibility: We work closely with a variety of associations of over 200 independent women

Local farmers cultivate the Iraca palm in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner, and have more than 220 acres planted. It is an organic raw material that undergoes the process of harvesting the Toquilla straw, (a natural fiber of excellent quality,) which supplies a wide variety handicraft in Colombia.

Social responsibility

We work closely with a variety of associations of over 200 independent women to help close the gap between gender and the imbalance of power that exists throughout the regions that are greatly affected by domestic violence.
